Back in June, I requested that Apple let German-language Siri treat “Countdown” the same as “Timer”. Apple now implemented my feature request.
It was somewhat annoying to me that I had to say “timer” (an english word used in German) when requesting a “countdown” (also an english Word used in German). Apple finally implemented my feature request as of iOS 8.1.
You can now say:
- “5 Minuten Countdown”
- “Countdown stoppen”
- “Countdown fortsetzen”
I know I know… it’s a small thing to fuss so much about. But nevertheless I consider it a small victory. 🙂
